Branche Wins Game 1 With Walk-Off; Tigers Sweep Thomas JV 7-6 & 11-5

CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Mike Branche singled in the tying and winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning in game one for a 7-6 walk-off win, then the Tigers unloaded for 11 runs in game two for the sweep of the Thomas University JV on Thursday night at the Hord Athletic Complex.

Branche, Chris Schwarzer, and Jalin Thomas all had a pair of hits in game one, and Andrew Wingate picked up his 3rd win of the year, striking out the only batter he faced in the top of the 7th. 

In game two, Andrew Compton went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI, Josh Peters added a 2 for 3, with 2 runs scored, and an RBI, and Dahlton Cash blasted his second homer of the year, a long solo shot to left, as the Tigers picked up their 18th win of the season. Reagan Anderson ran his record to 2-1 on the season, striking out 7 in his 4 innings of work.

The Tigers get back into GCAA play next week, taking on Georgia Highlands in a four game series. Tuesday night the Tigers will host a 6:00 pm nine inning single game at the Hord Complex. On Friday and Saturday, the Tigers will play at LakePoint, a single nine inning game at 6:00 pm on Friday, and a 1:00 pm doubleheader on Saturday.
