SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Former Tiger centerfielder Michael Warren was named as the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday. Warren plays for Armstrong Atlantic University, after a stellar career at Andrew. The Peach Belt Conference is recognized as one the best NCAA Div. II baseball conferences in the nation.

Warren, from Stockbridge, Ga., was named to the NJCAA Region 17 All-Region 1st team after a standout sophomore season, that saw him post a .418 batting average, score 42 runs, steal 30 bases, put up a .484 OBP, and have 95 total bases. Warren was also named a GCAA and a East Central District Gold Glove Winner, both his freshman and sophomore seasons, and culminated with Warren being named a NJCAA Div. 1 Rawlings Gold Glove Winner, as a sophomore, one of only three outfielders honored across the country.

Warren's name is also all over the Andrew Baseball Record Book, sitting atop the batting average, runs, OBP, and stolen base categories, and 2nd in the hit category for an individual season.
