CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Head Coach Jamie Brooks has announced that Jalin Wimberly has added another award for his play last week, being named the NJCAA Div. I Men's Player of the Week. This caps a week where Wimberly was also named the GCAA Div. I Men's Player of the Week, and is also the men's basketball programs first national award in school history. Wimberly's 50 point outburst against Gordon State was the highest individual output in program history. Wimberly joins Ijon Owens from several weeks ago, named GCAA Player of the Week.

For the two games last week, Wimberly averaged 30.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game, along with 2.5 steals per game. In the Gordon State game, Wimberly was nearly unstoppable, going 19-of-22 from the field, 4-of-5 from 3, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
