Tigers 6th; Bracey 12th After 36 Holes at the NJCAA Div. II Preview

FOLEY, Ala. -- With temperatures starting in the 40s and a dew covered GlenLakes Golf Club course, the Tigers opened the NJCAA Div II National Preview on Monday by shooting 311 in the morning eighteen holes, then followed with a 315 in the afternoon eighteen, to record a team total of 626, good for 6th place in the team competition. The 6,912 yd, Par 72 course will be hosting the NJCAA Div. II Men's Golf National Championships in May 2018.

Logan Bracey paced the Tigers over the thirty-six holes, shooting 75-78=153 (+9), putting him T12th in the individual competition. Rasmus Konradsson fired an 80-77 and Grant Richardson a 79-78, both shooting 157 (+13), and are T24th. Jacob Brantefelt signed for a 77-84=161 (+17), good for a T36th, and Tucker Michael shot 91-82=173 (+29). There are 57 individuals in the tournament. The Tigers will wrap up the competition on Tuesday with 18 holes.
