Lady Tigers Split With Thomas University JV

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- Despite 26 hits and 21 runs, the Lady Tigers could manage just a split with the Thomas University JV on Tuesday in Thomasville, winning game one 13-8, before dropping the nightcap 16-8.

In game one, Angela Heimback blasted her GCAA-leading 8th homerun, doubled, went 3 for 5, and drove in 5 runs to pace the Tiger offense. Cheyenne Tillman went 3 for 3, scored twice and drove in a run, Taylor Sheffield went 2 for 4, doubled, scored 3 times and drove in a run, and Charlie Smith knotched her 11th win in the cirlce, going 5 innings, and striking out 1.

Game two saw Kaitlyn Smith go 3 for 3, double, score twice and knock in a run, Sheffield go 3 for 4 with a double and 3-RBI, Tillman add a pair of hits and Katelynn Simpson smack her 3rd homerun of the season.

The Tigers travel to Tifton, Ga. on Friday to take on ABAC in a GCAA matchup. The doubleheader starts at 2:00 pm.
