CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College women's basketball team held off East Georgia State on Sophomore Appreciation Day, Wednesday night in the Jinks Gymnasium, 65-61, to lock up the #5 seed in the upcoming Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) playoffs. It was the 3rd time that Andrew has beaten East Ga. this season.

Dawniqua Snead paced the scoring for the Lady Tigers, pumping in 16 points, while pulling down 5 rebounds, and picking up 4 steals. Destiny Reed had her 4th double-double of the season, dropping in 14 points and pulling down a team-high 10 boards, Tytianna Roseborough added 9 points and 4 assists, and Alexis Powell chipped in with 8 points, a game-high 6 assists, and also had 4 steals.

The Lady Tigers finish their regular season on Saturday, traveling to Warner Robins to take on Central Ga. Tech. Tip off is 1:00 pm
