CUTHBERT, Ga. -- In their first action since before Christmas, the Lady Fighting Tigers stumbled out of the gate, trailing by 12 at the half, before turning on the pressure defense, forcing 27 turnovers, to pull away for the 74-65 win over Southern Crescent Tech on Monday night in the Jinks Gymnasium. Andrew had five players in double figures, out-rebounded the visitors 43-19, and had 22 assists on the night.
Destiny Reed put up her third double-double of the year, pumping in 13 points and pulling down a game-high 16 rebounds, L'Trinity Eubanks led Andrew with 15 points and added 6 assists, Dawniqua Snead kicked in with 14 points and 7 boards, Taylor Riggins pumped in 13 points, and Alexis Powell came off the bench to score 10 points along with a pair of assists. Tytianna Roseborough dealt out a game high 6 assists, while chipping in with 3 points.
The Lady Tigers are back in Jinks Gymnasium on Saturday, taking on Albany Tech at 1:00 pm. The men's basketball team will follow with another matchup versus Albany Tech.
