ANDREW COLLEGE SET TO JOIN NAIA: THE FUTURE STARTS JULY 1
CUTHBERT, Ga. – After months of preparation, Andrew College Athletics is officially two days away from beginning a new chapter. On July 1, the Fighting Tigers officially become members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and compete in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).
This transition is the result of the hard work and dedication of the Andrew College Athletics Department, led by Athletic Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach Brian Skortz, alongside Andrew College President Dr. William Kennedy.
Since taking office as president, Dr. Kennedy has overseen tremendous growth across campus. Student enrollment has increased from 294 students in the fall 2022 semester to more than 600 students by the fall of 2024. During that time, Andrew College also expanded its athletics offerings with the addition of Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Track and Field and Women's Flag Football.
That same commitment to growth extends beyond athletics. As Andrew transitions to a four-year institution, the College has launched nine new bachelor's degree programs, providing student-athletes with even more opportunities to succeed both in competition and in the classroom.
