Andrew College Cheer and Dance Head to UCA and UDA National Championships

CUTHBERT, Ga - With the spring semester in full swing, the Andrew College cheer and dance teams have been booked and busy. This weekend, both teams will compete at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and Universal Dance Association (UDA) National Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.

This will be the first year the Fighting Tigers will compete in the UDA National Championships. Led by head coach Peyton Blackwell, the Andrew College dance team is ready to dazzle the competition.

In last year's UCA competition, the Andrew College cheer team made history as the first Andrew College team to compete at the national level. The Tigers advanced through the competition against 14 schools and went on to earn a spot in the finals, where they placed sixth in the country.

Competition begins Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 14 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
