Cuthbert, Ga- Fighting Tigers win Homecoming Game vs Crusaders
The Andrew College football team this afternoon hosted the Louisiana Community Christian Crusaders for Andrew's 2025 Homecoming game.
The Fighting Tigers are looking to bounce back from falling at home against Georgia Military Academy last week.
Andrew started the game with having the ball first hoping to start off the game strong on offense. Today the Fighting Tigers had a new quarterback playing today number 12 Weston Taylor. In Taylor's first start in his college career he led Andrew to have the lead early in the first quarter. Andrew finished the first quarter with a lead of seven to zero.
Early in the second quarter the Fighting Tigers get stopped and had to settle for a field goal to make it ten to zero. Once Louisiana got the ball from the kick off the crusaders marched down and only got a field goal making the score ten to 3. Andrew then responded with scoring a two touchdown but missing the extra point attempt and having the halftime score be 23 to 3.
Once the second half began the Crusaders started to bring more pressure defensively and started to convert some big plays scoring a touchdown to make it a 23 to 10 game, but the Fighting Tigers responded again making it 30 to 10 Fighting Tigers.
Both Andrew & the Crusaders scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter as the Fighting Tigers held off the battling Crusaders with a final score of 37 to 16.
The next for the Fighting Tigers Football team will be on November 1st vs Tennessee Valley CCC at 3pm EST at Early County High School in Blakely, GA.
