Women's Flag Football Set to Compete in Their First Game in Program History
CUTHBERT, Ga - In their inaugural season, the Andrew College Women's Flag Football team will travel to Brewton-Parker for the first game in program history. The Lady Tigers will compete in a Saturday doubleheader against Brewton-Parker and LaGrange College.
The flag football program was announced during the 2024-25 school year, and the Lady Tigers have been eager to begin competition. Saturday's games will serve as an early test of what fans can expect throughout the season and will challenge the Fighting Tigers as they continue to make history.
With the recent hiring of Head Flag Football Coach Nick Trist, the Lady Tigers are in good hands. Trist brings a wealth of football knowledge and experience to the program, having most recently served as the offensive coordinator at Savannah State University. His background and leadership position the Fighting Tigers well as they begin this new chapter.
"I think being able to start the program from the ground up is what attracted me to the job because you have the chance to set the culture and establish your program," said Trist. "Also, after having a few practices under my belt, the girls are great. We have some athletes out there, so I'm ready for the season."
