Tigers Fall 71-63 in Physical Matchup vs. Oxford College
CUTHBERT, Ga. — Despite a strong start in the first half, the Andrew College Fighting Tigers fell 71-63 to the Oxford Eagles.
Andrew College opened the game on a 7-1 run, capped by a deep 3-pointer from Amari Jsames, firing up the Tiger crowd and securing much-needed momentum. The Tigers played a fast-paced yet controlled first half behind stifling defense and fast-break points.
Through the first half, the Fighting Tigers were led by Jasiyah Suber with eight points.
The Fighting Tigers closed the first half with a 31-23 lead.
Despite their eight-point advantage entering the second half, the lead quickly dissipated as Oxford opened on a 7-0 run of its own. The Eagles cut the deficit to one point, 31-30, forcing an Andrew College timeout with around 13 minutes remaining.
Around the 10-minute mark, the Oxford Eagles took the lead, 47-44, capping a 24-13 run and would not surrender the lead for the remainder of the game. The Eagles had three players score in double figures, led by Ved Desai with 23 points, followed by Jason Kim with 17 points and Leo Etah with 12.

The Fighting Tigers sponsor 14 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
