Game Preview: Lady Tigers Carry Momentum Into Fall Finale vs. Southern Union

#24 Jasmyn Thomas CUTHBERT, Ga. — On Dec. 11 at 5 p.m., the Andrew College Lady Tigers will face off against Southern Union State Community College in their final game of the fall semester.

After taking losses in three of their first four matchups, Andrew College has gone 5-1, with their one loss coming by just one point in a nail-biter against Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, 57-56.

In their last outing against Florida State College at Jacksonville, the Tigers pulled out a 95-88 victory in triple overtime. They were led in scoring by guard Jasmyn Thomas with a season-high 34 points. It also marked her third double-digit scoring effort in four games. 

Thomas formed a dynamic duo with sophomore guard Braniya Baker, who added 17 points while going 4-for-5 (80%) from 3-point range.#00 Braniya Baker

The matchup against Southern Union will be the Lady Tigers' final contest before opening conference play on Jan. 7 against Albany Technical College.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 14 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
