2 Fighting Tigers Earn Placement at the King Open
Andrew Fighting Tigers traveled to King University in Bristol, Tennessee to compete in the King Open. "I was very pleased with our energy and effort", stated Coach Gordy. The main focus is to keep progressing and showing growth from each week. At this tournament, as a unit we calculated 79.5 Team points with 2 placers, and 16 wrestlers calculating at least 1 win under their belt. 
 
The Fighting Tigers were led by Amantee Mills, competing unattached in the 133lb weight class. With a record of 5-0 he finished the tournament winning the Championship bout by a final score of 10-9 against J.Carman from West Liberty.
 
Riley Brewer wrapped up a hard outing at the King Open with a 4th place finish. While advancing to the Semifinals of the 157lb bracket, Brewer knocked off B.Watkins from King University and J.Jett from West Liberty, both Division II institutions.
 
Other Fighting Tigers to add victories in the Win column were Corey Dye- Aiden Lipford- Alex Tabb- Joaquin Crook- Jaheim Mills- Esteban Mata- Tim Dunn- Noah Lucas- Isaiah Dozier- Jatavious Williams- Christian Preston- Sawyer Daniel- Abe Preston- Joel Marchand.
 
Coach Gordy and his squad are getting ready for the Life U Open this upcoming weekend on Saturday, November 23rd held at McEachern High School. 
 

Andrew College is a NJCAA Div 1 institution located in Cuthbert, GA. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
