Game Preview: Women’s Basketball vs. Albany Technical College
CUTHBERT, Ga - On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the Andrew College Women's Basketball Team will lace them up for a 5:30 p.m. matchup against Albany Technical College. This will be the second of three meetings between the two teams this season.
Following the postponement of their Jan. 31 game against East Georgia State College due to inclement weather, the Lady Tigers enter Wednesday's matchup with 11 days of rest. Their last game was played Jan. 24, an 86-63 loss to South Georgia Technical College that ended an eight-game home winning streak.
The Fighting Tigers currently sit third in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association standings at 3-2 in conference play, just one game ahead of Albany Tech at 3-3.
The last time Andrew faced Albany, Andrew fell 69-50 but showed great production out of their bench as Kezoriyah Blackshear (13 points) and Tiyana Snowden (10 points) both scored in double-figures. However, the Fighting Tigers were without starting center Hannah Morris. With Morris back in the lineup, Andrew College will have the size needed to counter Albany Tech's offensive attack.
With a win, the Fighting Tigers could move up in the GCAA standings while also moving one game closer to securing their most wins in a season since posting 13 during the 2016-17 campaign.
Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 14 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
