CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Tigers banged out 15 hits, and had the tying run at the plate, after scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning, but the visiting Cavaliers turned a game ending double play to thwart the Tigers rally, and hold on for a 11-7 win.
Chris Schwartzer led the offense, going 3 for 5 with an RBI, Jack Bell doubled twice and drove in 2 runs, Brett Anderson and Anthony Young both went 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI, and Michael Branche added a pair of hits. Deion Sellers and Mike Warren each had a hit, with Sellers driving in one run.
Warren continues to rank among the top 5 in several categories in the GCAA, including batting average, stolen bases, hits, and runs scored, while 6th in doubles and 7th in OBP. Roman Oliu leads the Tigers in wins and ERA. Oliu and Kuhn are both in the top 10 in the GCAA in ERA.
The Tigers take on Darton State in a doubleheader on Saturday in Cuthbert, to end the 4-game series.
