CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Fighting Lady Tigers tossed a pair of shutouts on Tuesday at Hord, knocking off the LaGrange College JV 7-0 in game one, then mercy-ruling the Lady Panthers 8-0 in 6 innings in game two, to extend their winning streak to six in a row.
Samantha Gidney led the Tiger offense in game one, going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI, Kaitlyn Smith and Kenzi Maddox each singled in a run, and Caitlyn Dunlap allowed only 4 hits and struck out 7, in evening her season record at 1-1.
Smith went 3 for 4, with a triple, and drove in two, while Maddox singled in a pair of runs, and Maci Townsend allowed only 4 hits and no runs to pick up her 1st collegiate win.
The Lady Tigers travel to Swainsboro, Ga. on Saturday to take on East Georgia State in a big GCAA doubleheader.
