CUTHBERT, Ga - It has been a week since their last matchup, and on Wednesday, March 18, the Andrew College Baseball team will travel to Rome, Georgia, for a conference matchup against Georgia Highlands College. First pitch is scheduled for 3 P.M.
This marks the second meeting between the two teams this season. In their first matchup on March 7, Georgia Highlands swept the doubleheader, winning both games with a combined run differential of +11. Georgia Highlands currently sits atop the GCAA standings and is riding a three-game win streak following victories over Gordon State and East Georgia.
This will be the first of four consecutive games between the two teams this week. Following Wednesday's contest, the teams will meet for a weekend series that will conclude with a Saturday doubleheader. First pitch for Friday's game is scheduled for 4 P.M.
A win Wednesday would mark the Fighting Tigers' first victory since a 10-2 win over East Georgia on March 3. Andrew enters the matchup looking to snap a five-game skid.
