BLAKELY, Ga. – In a hard-fought matchup against the Tennessee Valley Defenders, the Fighting Tigers fell at home, 23-13, for their fourth consecutive loss to begin the 2026 season.
Coming into Saturday's matchup, the Fighting Tigers were looking to find the win column against the Defenders but were unable to get their passing game going consistently in the second half. Coupled with costly mistakes, the Fighting Tigers were unable to build enough momentum to secure the win.
The Fighting Tigers finished the contest with their best offensive performance of the season, totaling 210 yards. However, five total turnovers kept the Fighting Tigers' offense at bay. Tennessee Valley also controlled possession for more than 33 minutes compared to around 25 minutes for Andrew.
The Fighting Tigers return to the field Saturday, Sept. 26, when they face Thomas University.

- Andrew forced three fumbles and two interceptions on the day, both season highs.
- Andrew logged five sacks for 37 yards and was led by Kaleb Funchess with 2.5 sacks on the day.
- Joshua Browder went 9-for-17 for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
