CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Andrew (4-4) ended their two game losing streak Sunday afternoon defeating the Highlanders of Gordon State College (2-5-1) 5-1.
The Lady Tigers opened up the scoring seven minutes in the game when Kayla Kieffer played a ball in the box, which Anges Evangelista buried in the back of the net. Andrew would give a penalty kick later in the half which evened things up before Sadie Springer put the Tigers ahead 2-1 at the half.
In the second half, Andrew controlled the tempo and scored three more goals from Evangelista, an own goal and Kayla Kieffer to cap close out the game and put the Tigers in good conference standing. Alina Rodriguez made her debut in goal for the Tigers and recorded one save and her first cleansheet.
The Ladies will host Darton State College (9/23). Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM
