Box Score TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. – Following a tough 3-0 loss to the University of the Cumberlands in their NAIA debut, the Lady Tigers were looking to snap a two-game skid and come out on top in Toccoa Falls. Unfortunately, Andrew Volleyball fell in three sets, 3-0, dropping its third straight match to start the season.

The Fighting Tigers got off to a strong start in the opening set, jumping out to an early 5-1 lead. However, the Screaming Eagles came roaring back to tie the Fighting Tigers at 9-9. This set up a fierce back-and-forth battle before Toccoa Falls eventually pulled away to take the opening set, 25-22.

Going into the second set, the Fighting Tigers once again got off to a strong start, taking an early 3-0 lead. Unfortunately, the Screaming Eagles began to find their rhythm and took a 6-3 advantage behind a strong defensive presence at the net and consistent offensive pressure. Toccoa Falls went on to take the second set, 25-20.

Despite jumping out to early leads in each of the first two sets, the Fighting Tigers were unable to do the same in Set 3. Toccoa Falls went on to take the final frame, 25-17, securing the win in straight sets.

Despite the loss, the Lady Tigers showed glimpses of their potential throughout the match. Andrew found ways to build early leads but was unable to capitalize and close out sets due to a combination of miscues and strong defensive play from the Screaming Eagles.

However, with this being just their third contest of the season, the Fighting Tigers will be a team to watch in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) throughout the remainder of the year. As they continue to build chemistry on the court, they will look to become a tough team to beat in their new conference.
