Box Score CUTHBERT, Ga. – In their second straight home conference game, the Fighting Tigers fell to the University of Tennessee Southern for their third straight loss to start the season. The Fighting Tigers fell, 27-0, at Hord Athletic Complex.
The Fighting Tigers got off to a slow start as the Firehawks opened the game with six goals through the first 15 minutes of play. By halftime, Tennessee Southern had built a 19-0 advantage.
The Firehawks were led by Courtney Hicks, who finished with seven goals on 11 shots, including 10 on goal. She was one of four Tennessee Southern players with multiple goals, joining Kamilia Tayebi with six, Ebony Wright with four and Luella Cramer with two.
Offensively, the Fighting Tigers were held to just one shot in the match, which came from
Sher'Miah Donaldson.
The Fighting Tigers return to action on the road Friday, Sept. 18, when they face Point University at 2 p.m.
