CUTHBERT, Ga. - On Friday, Sept. 18, the Andrew College women's volleyball team will hit the road for its second conference match of the season. The Fighting Tigers will take the court against Blue Mountain Christian University in Mississippi.

The Lady Toppers are 4-6 overall and enter the match on a five-game skid following losses to Lindsey Wilson and the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday, Sept. 12, as part of a tri-match between the three institutions.

Friday's matchup will mark the first meeting between the two teams this season. On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the Fighting Tigers got their first taste of conference play in a highly anticipated matchup against Faulkner University. Andrew fell in straight sets, 3-0.

Despite the loss, several key players, including Angelina Chambrey, Emily Calhoun and Neriah Curry, delivered strong performances. Chambrey led the Fighting Tigers with eight kills, while Calhoun recorded a team-high 16 assists.

Following Thursday's nonconference matchup against Trinity College of Florida, the Fighting Tigers will begin a stretch of four consecutive conference matches beginning with Blue Mountain. Andrew will then face UT Southern (Sept. 19), Wesleyan College (Sept. 25) and conclude with a home matchup against Brewton-Parker (Sept. 26).

Located in Cuthbert, Georgia, Andrew College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 16 sports and compete in the Southern States Athletic Conference.
