CUTHBERT, Ga. – On Thursday, Sept. 24, the Andrew College Men's Soccer team returns to Hord Athletic Complex for a nonconference matchup against Freed-Hardeman University out of Tennessee.

Previously on the Pitch

The Fighting Tigers are coming off a tough 2-1 loss to Point University on Saturday, Sept. 19. The Fighting Tigers played a strong game through the first 45 minutes and in the 39th minute, Giovanni Alquicira logged his first goal of the season to give Andrew a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

Unfortunately, the Skyhawks found their rhythm in the second half, knocking in two goals from Jaime Martin in the 48th minute and Okikiade Faduyile in the 66th. Point maintained its one-goal lead throughout the remainder of the match to secure its first win of the season.

The Opponent: The Lions

The Freed-Hardeman Lions enter Thursday's matchup following a 3-1 loss to No. 3 Cumberland. Their last match was scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21, against Williams Baptist but was canceled, giving the Lions six days of rest before traveling to Cuthbert.

Thursday's match marks the first meeting between the two programs this season. The Lions enter with a 4-2-3 overall record and are 1-1-2 away from home.
