Box Score CUTHBERT, Ga. – Riding the momentum of their first win as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), the Fighting Tigers were poised to return to the win column as they took the pitch against Ave Maria University out of Florida. However, the Fighting Tigers fell, 2-0, at Hord Athletic Complex, bringing their record to 1-3 on the season.

Once again, goalkeeper Teagan Paulo led the defensive charge, recording his fourth consecutive game with at least five saves. Paulo finished with 12 saves on 14 shots on goal from Ave Maria. Unfortunately, the Fighting Tigers were unable to find the back of the net in Saturday's contest.

The Fighting Tigers played strong through the first 20 minutes of action before Karl Sri found the back of the net in the 22nd minute to give Ave Maria a 1-0 lead. Throughout the match, Ave Maria controlled much of the action on the pitch, totaling 11 shots compared to just two from the Fighting Tigers.

Despite the loss, the Fighting Tigers still have time to regroup as they prepare for conference play. Andrew returns to action Thursday, Sept. 10, when the Fighting Tigers face their first conference opponent of the season, Blue Mountain Christian University, at 3 p.m.
