CUTHBERT, Ga. -- The Andrew College Lady Fighting Tigers (3-4) fell to the hands of Georgia Military (3-4) 2-1 Friday afternoon. The game was one-sided as Andrew dominated in all areas of the game.
Georgia Military opened up the scoring on a Andrew defensive error, which gave the visitors a 1-0 lead. The score would remain 1-0 at half. The Lady Tigers came out strong offensively in the second half where they controlled the ball and held possession for almost the entire half. Andrew would level things up when Ilaria Berni delivered a beautiful cross in the box, which found the foot of Carleigh Hoelzel that beat the keeper low.
The game continued to get more and more exciting as Andrew would hit the post on multiple occasions and with just under a minute to play, GMC converted what would be the game winner on a counter attack to goal that beat Raquel Hauss on a 1 v 1.
