CUTHBERT, Ga. – As the Fighting Tigers head into Labor Day weekend, they will take the field against No. 20-ranked Georgetown College for their home opener Saturday, Sept. 5, at Standifer Field in Blakely, Ga.

Coming into the 2026 regular season, Georgetown was ranked among the nation's best following a strong 7-3 record in 2025. The Tigers opened their season against NCAA Division I Butler University. Despite taking the loss, 27-23, Georgetown held a 20-17 lead at halftime before Butler battled back in the second half to secure the victory.

The Fighting Tigers are coming off the toughest loss in program history following a 65-6 defeat against Shorter University. Andrew will look to bounce back as the Fighting Tigers open their home schedule and return to Blakely for their first game on familiar soil this season.

Saturday's matchup will mark the first meeting between the two programs on the gridiron. It will also be Andrew's first home football game as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), adding another historic milestone to the program's third season of competition.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Standifer Field.

Located in Cuthbert, Georgia, Andrew College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 16 sports and compete in the Southern States Athletic Conference.
