Fighting Tigers Look to Spoil Faulkner's Homecoming in Saturday Showdown

CUTHBERT, Ga. – The Andrew College Football team will hit the road Saturday, Oct. 17, as the Fighting Tigers travel to Montgomery, Ala., to take on Faulkner University.

Coming off their toughest loss of the season, a 0-62 defeat against No. 25 Cumberland University, the Fighting Tigers will look to bounce back, secure their first victory of the season and spoil Homecoming for the Faulkner Eagles.

Previously on the Gridiron

In their last matchup against Cumberland University, the Fighting Tigers were unable to find their rhythm offensively, finishing the game with fewer than 100 yards of total offense.

The 62-point defeat marked Andrew's largest loss of the season, surpassing its previous 5-65 loss to Shorter University in the season opener.

Despite their struggles throughout the season, the Fighting Tigers will look to regroup and put together a stronger performance as they continue their search for their first win of the year.

The Opponent: The Eagles

The Eagles will present another tough challenge for Andrew as they enter Saturday's matchup with a 3-3 overall record and are coming off their first back-to-back losses of the season.

In their most recent matchup against Bethel University, the Eagles battled but ultimately fell, 21-10, on the road in Tennessee.

Faulkner will also have added motivation heading into Saturday's contest as the Eagles celebrate Homecoming and Senior Day in front of their home crowd.

Game Information

Saturday's game is set for 5:30 p.m. CDT at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium on the campus of Faulkner University in Montgomery, Ala.

Prior to kickoff, Faulkner will recognize its seniors as part of its Homecoming weekend festivities.
