CUTHBERT, Ga. – Due to the possibility of inclement weather, Andrew College Athletics has announced multiple schedule changes for this weekend's Volleyball, Football, Cross Country, Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer events.
Andrew College Cross Country was scheduled to compete in the 2026 Florida State Invitational, hosted by Florida State University. Due to the impending weather, the Fighting Tigers will no longer compete in the meet.
The Volleyball matches scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. The Lady Tigers were set to face Loyola University New Orleans on Friday, followed by Xavier University of Louisiana on Saturday.
Along with Volleyball, the Fighting Tigers Men's and Women's Soccer teams were slated to face Xavier and William Carey this week. Thursday's doubleheader against Xavier will go on as scheduled, with the Women set to take the pitch at 1 p.m. CDT, followed by the Men at 3 p.m. CDT. However, Saturday's matches against William Carey have been moved up to Friday. As of now, the Women are set to take the pitch at 10:00 a.m. CDT, with the Men scheduled to follow at 12 p.m. CDT in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Saturday's Football game against Cumberland University has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m.
The schedule changes come as Tropical Storm Isaias approaches the northern Gulf Coast. Isaias, the ninth named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, is forecast to strengthen into the season's first hurricane before approaching the Gulf Coast on Friday.
Andrew College Athletics will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates regarding all affected events as more information becomes available.
